Mr. Munsey is the Manchego Elementary School teacher of the year. He knows how to teach others to listen. He knows how to explain what it means to be a contributing member of one's community. He knows how to get through to kids. But on a normal day in Manchego, the best of intentions of a wonderful teacher play a hand in creating a tragedy that brings the school to its knees, and Mr. Munsey wonders if he is indeed the great teacher everyone thought he was. He realizes that he hasn't been listening; he hasn't been contributing to his community; he hasn't been letting the kids get through to HIM. In the end, he realizes that the greatest teachers are the best students. And those he thought he was there to change and mold have actually changed and molded him.
